Jaipur: The Delhi Police on Monday argued in the high court that Lokesh Sharma, OSD to chief minister Ashok Gehlot is not cooperating with the police investigation in the phone tapping case. They demanded to remove protection given to him from any coercive action against him.
Additional solicitor general Sanjay Jain representing the Delhi Police said Sharma is not cooperating with the investigation, leading to delay in filing chargesheet. He said Sharma is misusing the interim relief of protection from arrest.
Siddarth Luthra who represented Lokesh Sharma, countering the Delhi Police said Sharma has been cooperating with the investigation. He said Sharma had presented himself before the Delhi CID (CB) for interrogation many times on summons. As the arguments remained inconclusive, the court posted the next hearing for May 31. TNN
