The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, April 26, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
With a storm system continuing to move eastward into the
Plains tomorrow, thunderstorms will develop once again
across much of Texas. These storms should largely be
concentrated in the eastern half of the state, and may turn
severe. Hail, damaging wind gusts and a tornado or two are
all possible, in addition to heavy rain and frequent
lightning. Rain and snow will come to an end in Colorado
during the morning hours, with rain shifting into Kansas and
the Southeast states later in the day. Thunderstorms from
Louisiana to Georgia and Florida are unlikely to turn
severe, but can produce heavy rain and lead to localized
flooding. In the Northeast, a lingering upper low can bring
additional showers, and keep lower-than-average temperatures
in place across the region.
