I'm being falsely implicated by CBI in the YS Viveka murder case, says Andhra Pradesh MP
TIRUPATI: Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy claimed he was innocent and was falsely implicated by the CBI in the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case.
The Kadapa MP who met his followers and party workers at Pulivendula in YSR district on Tuesday evening, later had a candid conversation with the reporters.
"I'm innocent and I have not committed any crime. I'm being falsely implicated by the CBI in this case. The CBI appears to be hell bent upon framing me as an accused in the case rather than concluding the investigation in a fair manner," the Kadapa MP lamented.
YS Avinash Reddy also expressed doubts over the confession statement of Viveka's daughter Narreddy Sunitha Reddy recorded by the CBI. "There are a lot of contrasting points when her first and second statements are compared".
Responding to the CBI's enquiry of his whereabouts on the day Viveka was murdered, Avinash Reddy told reporters that he was on his way to Jammalamadugu and that he received a call from one Sivaprakash Reddy when he reached the Pulivendula ring road and came to Viveka's house.
"But the CBI is trying to establish that I was present at Viveka's residence already in a bid to implicate me. The CBI can question all those who were present with me that day and were coming with me to Jammalamadugu", Avinash Reddy added.
The Kadapa MP raised doubts regarding certain key aspects in the case.
"Sheik Dasthagiri who turned approver in the case told the CBI that valuable documents were stolen away after Viveka's murder. But the CBI has never investigated into those details. On the other hand, the alleged suicide note and mobile phone recovered from Viveka's residence in the morning were not handed over to the investigation agencies until the evening. This is another key aspect which the CBI has not looked into", the Kadapa MP alleged.
