For 5th day, maximum temperature stayed below 40 degree Celsius in Ahmedabad

AHMEDABAD: Cyclonic circulation continued to bring some relief to the city from the summer heat. For the fifth consecutive day, the maximum temperature stayed below 40°C.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, the maximum temperature in Ahmedabad remained at 39.7°C, 0.7 degrees below normal. On the other hand, the minimum temperature was 23.1°C, 1.9 degrees below normal.
While it was pretty sunny during the day, the weather changed slightly in the evening. Cloudy weather and the cool breeze brought respite from the heat. The IMD suggests that north-westerly winds are prevalent over the region. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature is expected to touch 41°C. "Rise in maximum temperatures by 2-3 degrees likely during the next two days; after that, fall by 3-4 degrees during subsequent three days very likely over the region. Maximum temperature may be in the range of 40-42°C during the next two days," suggests the state forecast by IMD.
Bhuj and Rajkot remained the hottest regions in Gujarat on Monday, with the maximum temperature settling at 41°C on Tuesday. This was followed by Vadodara (40oC) and Ahmedabad. (39.7oC).
