Engineer duped of ₹20Lby three fraudsters
Nagpur: A 29-year-old engineer, Prashant Prakash Shahapure, was duped of more than ₹20 lakh by three fraudsters, who had identified themselves as Sanjana, Vikram and Prajna Janki, on the pretext of luring him with a part time job of rating films.
Initially, the fraudsters used to deposit some amount in his account after completion of the task. Shahapure works in a company at Mihan was trapped by the accused who enticed him with an amount of ₹34 lakh for which they asked him to pay ₹20 lakh.
After depositing the amount in the account of the fraudsters, Shahapure was waiting for the amount promised to him but nothing was paid. An offence was registered by Beltarodi police.
Gas agency owner conned
Rahul Gaidhane, owner of a gas agency based at Hazaripahad, was duped to the tune of ₹90,000 by an online fraudster posing as an employee of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar international airport.
Dhantoli police have registered an offence against the fraudster following Gaidhane’s complaint.
Two injured in group clash
Two persons were injured, including one seriously, after two groups attacked each other at Shiv Mandir Chowk on Sunday over a previous day skirmish while dancing at a public place. tnn
