PATNA: The state BJP core committee members met here on Tuesday to discuss the preparations being made to make the April 30 broadcast of PM Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat a grand success, party sources said. It is the 100th edition of the broadcast.
The core committee members also discussed matters related to the party organisation, including the constitution of its new state committee and deciding the list of office-bearers, including the frontal organisations, which has become incumbent after Samrat Chaudhary became the new state chief.
Sources said the matter related to the nomination of the new leader of the legislature party in the legislative council was also discussed as Chaudhary, who held the post, has become the party's state president.
As per the decision taken by the party's national co-incharge Sunil Oja, 100 persons have to listen to the PM's Mann Ki Baat broadcast at 100 different places in each of the 243 assembly constituencies.
Among those who participated in the meeting included the party's state in-charge Vinod Tawde, state president Chaudhary, Union minister Nityanand Rai, Rajya Sabha member Sushil Kumar Modi and former minister Shahnawaz Hussain.
