We spotted Poco F5 Pro on Geekbench last week. Today, a new Xiaomi-made phone appeared with model number 23049PCD8G that has a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset with 12GB RAM, and we expect it to be the vanilla Poco F5.

The Snapdragon India account on Twitter later confirmed this is indeed the Poco F5, which will be the first phone in India with this 7-series chipset. According to the company, this platform will bring 50% higher overall performance, 13% improved power efficiency, and 2x improved AI performance, compared to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.

Poco F5 is arriving with Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, Qualcomm confirms

These Poco F5 specs are suspiciously similar to the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, currently available only in China. It wouldn't be surprising if the two end up being identical, meaning we should expect the Poco F5 to have a 5,000 mAh battery with 67W charging and MIUI 14 on top of the Android 13 OS. Other specs should include a 6.67” AMOLED and a 64MP main camera.

The Poco F-series is the mightiest lineup in the brand’s portfolio. The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset might sound like a downgrade from the Snapdragon 870 on the Poco F4, but in reality, the new Qualcomm platform is bringing better battery efficiency and improved performance.

Much better off buying S888 s875 than this garbage midrange jnk trash. Wouldn't take it for free.

The 13 ultra has usb 3.2, and they have their own desktop mode that made its debut 2 years ago (miui+). It also has DP input which samsung doesnt have (atleast i dont think they do yet). Only couple other manufactures offering DP support
