The Central IAS Association has conveyed dismay at the decision of the Bihar Government to release the convicts of the brutal killing of Late G Krishnaiah, IAS, former DM of Gopalganj.
Such dilution leads to impunity, the IAS body said in a communique to the Bihar govt on Tuesday.

Anand Singh was convicted in the 1994 murder of Gopalganj DM G Krishnaiah who was lynched by a mob near Bihar's Muzaffarpur district in 1994.
Singh was given a death sentence by a local court in 2007. His sentence, however, was later commuted to life imprisonment by the Patna HC.
