Disguised as man, Chhattisgarh woman undertakes acid attack at ex-boyfriend during his wedding
It was found out that the accused woman had posed herself as a man to cover her identity and enter into the wedding venue to carry out the attack.

In a shocking event, Woman in Chhatisgarh’s Bastar has carried an acid attack at her ex-boyfriend during his weddding.
The 23-year-old woman attacked her ex-boyfriend Damrudhar Baghel, 25 while his marriage ceremony with a 19-year-old woman in village Chhote Ambal.
It was found out that the accused woman had posed herself as a man to cover her identity and enter into the wedding venue to carry out the attack.
The acid attack left the groom, the bride and 10 guests with minor burns.
The accused women has been successfully captured by the police with the help of the CCTV surveillance cameras that are installed across the village.
As per the statement given by the woman to the police, the groom Damrudhar, was in a relationship with her for past few years and she was promised by Damrudhar that soon they both were going to get married but later Damrudhar cheated on her and fixed marriage with another woman.

She added that when the news of Damrudhar getting married came to her notice, she tried contacting him but he started ignoring her, that’s when while watching Crime Patrol on TV, the idea of taking revenge on Damrudhar by attacking with acid clicked on her mind.
As per reports she has also reported before the police that she stole the acid from a chilli farm, where she is a staff.
On April 19, she reached the wedding venue of Damrudhar to execute the attack and after the attack she took the advantage of the dark night and escaped the place, as she disguised herself as a man it became easy for her to flee without revealing her identity.
The police when informed about the incident, was told that a man wearing suit pants ran away as soon as the incident took place.
The woman is now under police custody and is charged with IPC section 326 A(voluntarily causing grievous hurt by use of acid).

Karnataka: Congress leader Priyanaka Gandhi to campaign in Mysuru today
As per reports, Gandhi will hold a roadshow in K R Pete in Mysuru and will take part in a women convention program in the Chamarajanagar district.

As the Karnataka assembly election intensifies, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is set to step into the campaigning for her party. Gandhi is likely to campaign in the Old Mysuru region today.
The Congress leader will arrive in Karntaka today to mark her first official campaign for the state assembly elections, Gandhi is likely to woo the Vokkaliga community as she will visit parts of Mysuru and Chamarajanagar, which comes under the Old Mysuru region considered to be a Vokkaliga dominated region.
As per reports, Gandhi will hold a roadshow in K R Pete in Mysuru and will take part in a women convention program in the Chamarajanagar district.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who has been actively campaigning for the BJP in the poll bound state was in Mysuru and Chamarajanagar district on Monday, where Priyanka Gandhi is scheduled to visit.
On Monday, the deadline set by the Election Commission for the withdrawal of candidature for the elections ended, as per the ECI data a total of 2,613 candidates are in fray for the polls, while 517 candidates who filed their nomination withdrew their name.
The southern state is set to go to polls on May 10.
A tough contest is being seen in the ground especially between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress, with both the parties mounting attacks, blame on each other on various issues.
With anti-incumbency against the current BS Bommai government, BJP is high on hopes to retain the state for a second term with absolute majority. While Congress, on the other side is confident of taking back the power from the ruling party.
Big questions lie ahead of this elections, but all of it is going to be answered by the voters on the polling day and the results of which will be out on May 13.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday received a death threat in Lucknow. The police said the call was made to toll-free number 112.
The threat caller has been identified as Rihan who dialed the 112 number, which was launched by the Yogi government for emergency services, and threatened to kill CM Yogi soon.
Apart from that, the caller also texted the social media desk of the UP Police which reads, Yogi CM ko mar du ga jald hi (will kill CM Yogi soon).

Soon after the threat UP Anti-Terror Squad was alerted and the Operation Commander of 112 filed a case at the Sushant Golf City police station.
The PS Sushant Golf City registered the case against an unknown person under sections 506 and 507 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and 66 IT Act.
Celebrities and famous personalities have been receiving death threats for a while. Recently, Kerala BJP chief K Surendran said that he received a letter last week about a conspiracy to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Police on Sunday arrested the person who wrote a letter threatening to launch a suicide bomb attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Kochi scheduled for April 24.

PM Modi flags off Kerala’s first Vande Bharat Express, to inaugurate Kochi water metro shortly
Before the express train was flagged off, PM Modi interacted with school children sitting inside the coach of the train.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday flagged off Kerala’s first Vande Bharat Express Train from Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway station.
Along with the prime minister, flagging off ceremony was done in the presence of Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Congress Lok Sabha MP from Thiruvananthapuram Shashi Tharoor.
Before the express train was flagged off, PM Modi interacted with school children sitting inside the coach of the train.
The Prime Minister earlier this morning held a roadshow in Thiruvananthapuram greeting people across the road while flowers were showered at him.
PM Modi, who is on a two day visit to Kerala, arrived on Monday evening, after which held a 2-Km roadshow in the capital city Kochi and took part in a youth program later.

Prime Minister Modi is also to inaugurate the much anticipated country’s first water metro service, The Kochi Water Metro shortly.
A dream project of the state and the country, it is not only the first water metro service in the country but is going to be Asia’s first ever integrated water transport system that is to be operated at such a large scale and size.
The metro project is built at a cost of Rs 1,136.83 crore.
Initially, the services will run between High Court to Vypin and Vytilla to Kakkanad stretches. It would cover these journey within a time range of 20-25 minutes and the ticket price is set at Rs 20 only.
PM Modi is also scheduled to inaugurate projects worth Rs 3,200 crore across the state that will add up to the state’s infrastructure and development.
Prime Minister’s Kerala visit is being seen as a crucial step taken by the central government as BJP prepares itself for the general elections due next year.
