On Saturday, in spite of intimidating skies and infrequent light rainfall, individuals both big and small rushed to McKell Middle School to observe Kite Day of Greenup County Tourism.
High above the field of soccer delayed multicolored display of fabrics as small kids run around here and there with cotton candy, balloon animals, Kona Ice and a complimentary kite taken up at registration.
The music band of the McKell Middle School played some really melodies numbers. The Team of the Greenup District Literacy distributed free books to the ones who are interested.
Besides the freebies, for hot air balloon rides, vouchers were also given out. It was to take place on Sunday morning, completely supported by Greenup Tourism.
As the mass infrequently looked for the cover beneath the canopy for irregular rainfall, the people in attendance however remained constant.
In the audience, not all were right away locals, in either ways.
For instance, Dave Bunner, who comes from West Virginia, his team with New Era Kite Club and Air and on Saturday, Space Adventure sat up with an extensive selection in terms of kite flying necessities.
Bunner stated that this was the second year for Kite Club in regard to attendance.
Also, for providing their help, the Greenup County Detention Center received gratitude in setting up and taking down tables.
