Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded positive around 11:21AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.
Coforge(up 1.31 per cent), MPhasis(up 0.61 per cent), Infosys(up 0.45 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd(up 0.27 per cent) and Tata Consultancy(up 0.23 per cent) were among the top gainers.
L&T Technology(down 0.98 per cent), Tech Mahindra(down 0.51 per cent), Wipro(down 0.45 per cent) and Persistent Systems(down 0.3 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.16 per cent at 27056.7 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 39.65 points at 17783.05, while the BSE Sensex was up 118.41 points at 60174.51.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red.
Shares of Zomato Ltd., Rail Vikas Nigam, Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd., YES Bank and Bank of Maharashtra were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Quality Foils(India, Eimco Elecon, B L Kashyap, Rail Vikas Nigam and Ganesha Ecosp hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Crompton Greaves, Ipca Labs, BEML Land Assets, Shri Ram Switchgears and Brightcom Group hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
