'Shaista Parveen not expelled from BSP, party's sympathies with her', says BSP MLA Umashankar Singh

Bahujan Samaj Party's lone MLA Uma Shankar Singh, who came to Uttar Pradesh's Ballia on April 23, to nominate the BSP candidate for the municipal elections, said that his party's sympathies are with Shaista Parveen, the wife of slain mafia-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed. Umashankar Singh said, 'We had made Shaista Parveen join the party, not Atiq Ahmed, and Shaista Parveen is still in our party and the party's entire sympathy is with her.' Umashankar Singh said that till now neither the government nor the police has shown any such video or footage that Shaista Parveen has any link with that incident.'œThe day they get involved, Bahujan Samaj Party does not keep such people. But till today there is no involvement, and no action has been taken against any innocent. She is still in our party.' Umashankar Singh added.
