MUMBAI: On Sunday, Maharashtra reported 545 Covid-19 cases, with 141 of them coming from Mumbai. This is a 35% drop in cases from 850 reported across the state on Saturday, which was likely due to a decrease in testing.

As many as 8,278 people were tested on Sunday, with 5,540 tests conducted in government labs, 2,616 in private labs, and 122 self-tests. Of the 6,000 active cases in Maharashtra, 301 (4%) are being treated in hospitals, with around 60 patients in the ICU. Mumbai recorded seven hospitalizations.
