One man dead in Sunday night shooting at Tuscaloosa apartment complex, police say
Tuscaloosa police are investigating a Sunday night shooting that killed one man at a Tuscaloosa apartment complex.
Stephanie Taylor, a spokeswoman with the Tuscaloosa Police Department, said officers were called around 7:40 p.m. to Aspen Village Apartments in the 2200 block of 48th Street East. Officers found the victim dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit has assumed control of the investigation.
Capt. Marty Sellers of the VCU said a possible suspect in the fatal shooting has been taken into custody, but he did not release the suspect's name.
The victim also had not been identified as of Monday morning and the investigation is continuing.
