Actor Amitabh Bachchan posted a hilarious tweet on Friday after he lost a blue verified tick on Twitter as part of Elon Musk’s new policy. The actor demanded to restore his blue tick as he has paid the subscription fees of Twitter Blue.

Posting the tweet in Awadhi language, the 80-year-old actor asked Twitter to listen to him. He urges Twitter to put back the blue lotus in front of his name so that people know he is Amitabh Bachchan as he had paid for the subscription service. He said he is making the request with folded hands, now should I fall on your feet?

Soon after that people flooded the comment section with hilarious memes. One of the users referred to Amitabh Bachchan’s famous dialogue ‘hum jahan se khade hote hain line vahin se shuru hoti hai’ and said You have to stand in line here sir. Yahan ye vala hisaab nahi hoga ki aap jahan khade ho jayein line vahi se shuru ho jaegi.

Amitabh Bachchan is not the only celebrity who has lost the verified blue tick on Twitter. Various celebrities such as Shah Rukh Khan, Virat Kohli, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have also lost their verified blue ticks from their Twitter accounts.

Blue ticks were introduced by Twitter in 2009 to help users identify that celebrities, politicians, companies and brands, news organizations and other accounts of public interest were genuine and not impostors or parody accounts. The company didn’t previously charge for verification.

However, after Elon Musk took over Twitter in October, he announced Twitter Blue- a service that provides a check-mark badge as one of the premium perks.
