‘Atiq’s relatives aided Guddu Muslim’; UP STF briefs on ongoing investigation into matter

Briefing on the ongoing investigation over Guddu Muslim and gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed’s wife Shaista Parveen, Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force Additional Director General of Police Amitabh Yash on April 24 in Lucknow informed that Atiq’s relatives helped Guddu Muslim. Further informing about Atiq’s wife, the STF ADGP said that investigation into matter shows that his wife was also involved in the gang. “Guddu Muslim was the shooter. Shaista Parveen was part of the conspiracy due to which she is also being searched. STIF and police are searching for both of them. Such gangsters usually do not face issue of lack of support. He is a threat to society as he can carry out crimes independently. He is good with bombs and weapons and has always been a contract killer. It has been clear during the investigation that she was also part of the gang. It seems like Atiq’s whole family was involved in such crimes,” Amitabh Yash said. Guddu Muslim is one of the accused on the run who was named in the Umesh Pal Murder case.
