Facing trial in 4 NDPS cases, man held with 100g heroin

Ludhiana: Already facing trial in at least four cases of drug peddling, a man was arrested with 100g heroin by CIA-2 of Ludhiana city police on Sunday. The accused, Angrej Singh (37), was arrested from Jamalpur area following a tip-off.
Inspector Beant Juneja, in-charge, CIA-2, said the CIA had established a checkpost where the accused was stopped. On frisking, 100g heroin was recovered from him.
Juneja said the accused already has four FIRs of drug peddling against him. The accused confessed that he is a drug addict and unemployed. He took to drug peddling to meet his need for drugs. A fresh case has been registered against him under the NDPS Act.
