Gujarat ATS came to interrogate Lawrence Bishnoi in cross-border drug trafficking case: Advocate

Amid gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s transit custody being granted by the Patiala House Courts to the Gujarat ATS, Lawrence Bishnoi’s Advocate Vishal Chopra on April 24 briefed on the matter and informed that the ATS wanted to hold an investigation to find out the possibilities of Bishnoi being involved in the narcotics border smuggling. The advocate further informed that Bishnoi has refused of having any connections with gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed’s shooting. “Gujarat ATS came to take my client Lawrence Bishnoi and they are taking him to Ahmedabad. They will have to arrest him and hold interrogation. They want to find out if my client is involved in narcotics border smuggling. They have been given 48 hours of transit remand. Chetak commandos and 3rd battalion will be there,” Chopra said.
