GURGAON: A Rohtak-based man working in the city was allegedly thrashed by a man and his son for wasting water. The victim said that the incident occurred on April 20, when he returned to his rented accommodation in Manesar's Aliyar village and took a shower.
"On Thursday after finishing my duty, I returned home and went to take a shower. When I came out of the washroom, my landlord and his son came to my room and asked me why I was wasting water," complainant Narender Rohilla told Manesar police.
He further added that talking soon turned into a verbal spat, and the duo started thrashing him resulting in him receiving multiple injuries to his face. Rohilla also alleged that the father-son duo threatened him with dire consequences as he left.
Following a written complaint in Industrial Sector-7, Manesar police registered an FIR under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.
"The victim was taken to government hospital Gurgaon. Teams have been formed to nab the accused," SHO of Industrial Sector-7, Manesar, Subhas Chand said.
