Talking about their first meeting, nakul said, "It was love at first sight for me. The first thought that came to my mind was that if I marry Janaki, my life will be amazing." 

However, there were no plans for his marriage at that time, as he was doing an internship at the bombay Stock Exchange and was focusing on his career. To this, he said, “I was not sure about a modeling career, and coming from a service background, you always have a plan B. I was coming back to Churchgate station from BSE for my internship. We were both in Shiamak Davar's classes, where Janaki was my senior. One day, I mustered up enough courage and went up to him in class and spoke to him for the first time. We were hardly 17-18 years old.

Talking about her first interaction at shiamak davar classes, Janki said, "After class, I was mending my pants and nakul came up to me and said, 'Hi, do you have a name'.
