Woman shot to death in Glendale gas station; investigation underway

Police were investigating a death after a woman was shot 10 times inside a Glendale gas station on Friday night.
Glendale police officers responded to a Chevron near 51st and Glendale avenues after receiving calls of a shooting about 9 p.m. Friday, authorities said.
Upon arrival, officers found a woman who had been shot at least 10 times. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said the woman was in the gas station when an unknown man with his face covered entered the store and shot her with a handgun multiple times. The man then left the scene and headed in an unknown direction before officers arrived.
Glendale police said the investigation was ongoing and information was subject to change.
