MANGALURU: AICC spokesperson Charan Singh Sapra said that many BJP leaders joining the Congress and other political parties show that the BJP ship in Karnataka is sinking.
The Congress leader told media persons here on Saturday that senior BJP leaders Jagadish Shettar and Vishwanath Patil Hebbal joining the Congress is an indication that there is a vertical split in the party.
“The vertical split is due to the “commission sarkar” and no one is getting along with each other. Amit Shah and Modi magic will not work in Karnataka this time. The BJP has failed to fulfil its promises and deceived the people of Karnataka,” he said and asserted that “Operation Kamala” will not repeat in Karnataka as people will help the Congress to secure majority.
“The BJP in 2018 had promised uninterrupted power supply for domestic, commercial use and also for farmers. However, domestic, commercial users and farmers are not happy as the BJP government failed to fulfil its promise. The BJP had promised LED bulbs in all the streets in the villages and double the electricity production to 20,000 MW in the state. However, those promises have not been materialised so far. The Congress is committed to its promises of supplying abundant electricity and free electricity up to 200 units to every household,” Charan Singh Sapra added.
