Amritpal Singh arrested: Waris Punjab De chief being taken to Dibrugarh jail

Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh has been taken to Dibrugarh from the Bathinda air base, and he will be put up at the Dibrugarh jail where many of his close aides are also held. Amritpal Singh's aides were earlier shifted to Dibrugarh on basis of intelligence inputs saying attempts for jail breaks could be made if they are kept in Punjab jails. It may be remembered that Amritpal and his followers had stormed a police station in Ajnala to get one of his aides released.
