Man ends life as bride flees with jewellery & cash in city

Jaipur: Police here launched a probe after a 30-year-old man committed suicide due to an organised gang that got him married to a different bride.
The Shastri Nagar police station filed the FIR based on the court’s direction on Friday. As per the police, the victim Raju Sharma ended his life by hanging himself in March.
“Sharma’s family contacted some persons to find a bride last year. He was to get married to a girl identified as Geeta. However, on the day of the wedding, some other girl, identified as Jyoti was present at the function,” said an official.
Sharma’s family asked about Geeta, but a couple posing as her parents said that she has refused to get married that’s why they asked Jyoti to come.
After their wedding in December last year, Jyoti moved to Sharma’s house but soon fled with jewellery and other items. “Sharma’s family had paid a huge amount of money for the wedding. They searched for Jyoti but they could not found her,” said an official. He added that Sharma was shocked at ended his life.
