Yogesh Choudhari, a senior executive with a private company dealing in coal, was robbed of ₹8.50 lakh cash at gunpoint near Ladies Club lawn on Saturday.
NAGPUR: Yogesh Choudhari, a senior executive with a private company dealing in coal, was robbed of Rs 8.50 lakh cash at gunpoint near Ladies Club lawn on Saturday.
He was returning from Itwari in a car with the cash when the robbers intercepted him before decamping with the bag.
It’s learnt that the robbers had stopped the car on the pretext of an accident. The robbers also smashed the glass windows of the car.
Choudhari sensing trouble had tried to flee but was pinned down by the goons who fled after managing to snatch the bag with the cash at gunpoint. An offence was registered at the Ambazari police station.
Crime branch officials too have joined the probe and CCTV cameras are now being scanned in and around the area of the crime.
