India committed to furthering sustainable growth: PM Modi

NEW DELHI:PM Narendra Modi, on the occasion of Earth Day on Saturday, said India is committed to furthering sustainable development in line with the country’s “culture of living in harmony with nature”. “On Earth Day, I laud all those working to make our planet better. India is committed to furthering sustainable development in line with our culture of living in harmony with nature,” he tweeted.
Environment minister Bhupender Yadav tweeted, “On Earth Day, let us renew our pledge to protect our planet. India remains committed to furthering sustainable development and adopting environment-friendly lifestyle.”
India has been pitching for adopting environment-friendly lifestyle globally for last few years and even launched Mission LiFE in 2022 to bring into focus mindful utilisation of resources as one of the tools to fight climate change through collective efforts.
