How Modi Government is leveraging different forms of Metro systems to boost Ease of Living in Cities

In a bid to enhance urban development, PM Modi will dedicate India’s first Water Metro to the nation on April 25 in Kochi. Water Metro is a unique urban mass transit system with ease of travel same as that of the conventional metro system. It will connect 10 islands around Kochi through battery-operated electric hybrid boats for seamless connectivity. Modi Govt has made a conscious choice to avoid a one-size fits all approach in providing infrastructure, connectivity. A prime example of this approach is seen in the expansion of metro connectivity in the country.
