Now, Aadhaar details must for teachers in Maharashtra

MUMBAI: After students, teachers have been told to register Aadhaar card details on the state education portal. Aadhaar is mandatory for students during enrollment. Schools have been registering them on the state's SARAL portal for students.
Teachers said while they are busy updating data of students, they have to also upload Aadhaar details. Across the state, over 19 lakh students do not have Aadhaar cards and another 40 lakh students' cards have errors.
In Mumbai, over 2 lakh students do not have Aadhaar cards and another 2 lakh students cards have errors. Teachers are held in surplus depending on student enrollment.
