Area bowling: Ganhs rolls high series of week; Cmarik records 299 game

As most leagues were winding down their season, or had already reached completion, Jose Ganhs was still ramping up his game. Ganhs led all bowlers this past week with a 797 series in the Don McIvor Memorial league at Port Huron Lanes. His high game in that set was a 280.

Mike Monahan also made a bid for an award series as he tossed a 787 in Blue Water Men at St. Clair River Lanes. Nick Medley led the Tuesday Classic league at Strikers Entertainment Center with a 769. Mike Church also rolled an outstanding series with a 763 in Sunday Outcast that included a 279 game.

Other league leaders were Matthew Tetreau with a 757 in Friday Wanna Bees at Port Huron and Jim Gostovich at 756 in Sunday Strikers at Strikers. Cliff Crawford paced two leagues as he shot 749 in Cowboys & Indians and 737 in Saturday Nite Bridge where he had a 278 game. Scott Badley was runner-up to Crawford in both those sessions with 746 and 711.

Jonny Cmarik owned the high game of the week with a 299 in Tuesday Classic. Brandon Saikowski pitched a 287 in Cowboys & Indians. Other high games were Chris Peuterbaug 279, Steve Beery 279, Casey Donnenworth 278, Henry Sullivan 278, Ed Crampton 277 and Del Stevens 277.

Jill Friis finished a strong season with a 660 series and 226 game in Cowboys & Indians. Joddy Swoffer put together a 633 series with a 225 game in the McIvor league. Terry Crampton had a 624 series along with the high game of the week of 243 in Monday Big 12 at St. Clair. Crampton also rolled a 599 in Blue Water Men. 

Other top series were Heather Bombard 598, Kristen Winkler 591 and Jessica Heilig 591. Heilig posted the second best game of the week with a 237 in that session. Two other strong games were Ally Irvine 223 and Irene Simmons 220.

Chuck Ouellette heads up the rest of the series leaderboard with a 733 in the McIvor league. He was followed by Chris Peuterbaug 729, Henry Sullivan 728, Kyle Gest 727, Casey Donnenworth 726, PJ Hollis 725, Pat McCormick 721, Kylar Marinez 711, Anthony LaGruth 711 and Jeff Meldrum 710.
