JAISALMER: The body of a 40-year-old man was found at Bibiyan desert near Longewala in
Jaisalmer district adjoining Pakistan on Friday. BSF jawans saw the body and informed police. Ramgarh police reached the spot and took the body in its possession.
The body is said to be 4-5 days old. “It is expected that some suspicious persons trying to go near the Pakistan border possibly lost route and died of thirst and hunger or bitten by a snake. The right reasons will be known after the postmortem report,” police said.
BSF sector South DIG RK Neggi, 173rd battalion commandant Ashwini K Singh and Ramgarh SHO Premaram Choudhary reached the spot.
According to information, jawans of 173rd battalion were going to Mojewala from Longewala and saw the body, around 15km from the Indo-Pak border. BSF informed Ramgarh police which reached and started the investigation. Police said the person was possibly an outsider and many a times, mentally challenged people reach the border.
