Poonch terror attack: Havildar Mandeep Singh’s mortal remains brought to Ludhiana

The mortal remains of slain soldier Mandeep Singh, who was killed in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on April 20, were brought to his native village Chankoin Kalan of Ludhiana in Punjab.The incident happened after an Army vehicle was attacked by terrorists in the Rajouri sector in Jammu, which led to the death of five soldiers. Operations were launched to trace the perpetrators, but so far there was no clarity yet on the attackers.The deceased soldiers are identified as Havildar Mandeep Singh, Lance Naik Debashish Baswal, Lance Naik Kulwant Singh, Sepoy Harkrishan Singh and Sepoy Sewak Singh were attached with the Army’s Rashtriya Rifles unit and were deployed for counter-terrorist operations in the area.
