AHMEDABAD: April feels relatively pleasant in Ahmedabad for a change. With westerly and north-westerly winds prevailing over the region, the maximum temperature in Ahmedabad on Friday was 38.6°C, which was 1.8 degrees below normal.
The mercury stayed below 40°C for the second straight day in Ahmedabad, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Ahmedabad still recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state on Friday.
The minimum temperature in Ahmedabad was at 25.7°C, staying 0.7 degrees higher than normal. According to the forecast, no large change in temperature is expected in the city over the next two days. After that, there will be a gradual increase in temperatures by two or three degrees in the subsequent three days.
According to the Met department, light rain and thundershowers are very likely at isolated places in the Gujarat region such as Ahmedabad, and in Rajkot, Amreli, Bhavnagar and Kutch districts.
