State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Sadanand Shet Tanawade on Saturday announced the
names of 13 BJP supported candidates for the Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) elections scheduled on May 5. Along with him Ponda MLA and Minister for Agriculture Ravi Naik, MP Vinay Tendulkar, two unopposed candidates – Vishwanath Dalvi (ward 7) and Vidhya Punalekar (ward 13) and others
were present.
Tanawade said that even though MGP is part of the state government, BJP has decided to go it alone in the PMC election. Presently, BJP is having double engine government with Centre and state, which is helping the state to develop. Considering it, for better development, Ponda people should support BJP candidates in all wards,
Tanawade urged.
BJP-supported candidates: ward 1 – Roy Naik, ward 2 – Virendra Dhavlikar, ward 3 – Jyoti Naik, ward 4 – Sandeep Amonkar, ward 5 – Ritesh Naik, ward 6- Shaunak
Borkar, ward 8 – Vidya Naik, ward 9 – Rupak Dessai, ward 10 – Deepa Kavlekar, ward 11 – Priyanka Parker, ward 12 – Arshit Vernekar, ward 14 – Anand Naik and ward 15 – Sampada Naik.
