VMC notice to school for littering surroundings

Vadodara: The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) issued a notice to a school in Siddnath Pond area after the area around the school was found littered with papers on Thursday morning.
Sources said that VMC sanitation workers had cleaned the area on Thursday morning. After this, papers were found strewn on the street near the school. The incident came to the notice of local ward officer.
Officials visited the area and verified the information and the area was cleaned again. The officials also sent a notice to the school near which the papers were found. VMC officials had recently visited Siddhnath Pond after there were complaints that waste water was being discharged into the pond and the conditions around it were filthy. Officials had promised that it would be cleaned.
