Why UAPA was not imposed on attackers of Atiq, Ashraf, questions Asaduddin Owaisi

AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi addressed the ‘Alvida Ki Namaz’ on April 21 at Mecca Mosque in Hyderabad. While addressing the worshippers, he launched a sharp attack at the Yogi Adityanath-led BJP Government in Uttar Pradesh for not imposing UAPA act on the attackers who killed Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf Ahmed. “They (those who fired at Atiq Ahmed and his brother) said that they wanted to be famous. This is not to be famous, this is the group which we call terror cell....we want to ask why UAPA was not imposed on them? Who gave him the weapon worth 8 lakhs? You remember that these are terrorists, they have been radicalised. They are following the footsteps of Godse,” said Asaduddin Owaisi.
