    Stock market update: Mining stocks down as market rises

    India 10-year bond yield fell 0.34 per cent to 6.13 after trading in 6.13-6.16 range.
    NEW DELHI: Mining shares closed in the Friday's session.

    Pokarna(up 3.56%), Oriental Trimex(up 0.73%) and Coal India(up 0.22%) stood among the top gainers.

    Lexus Granito(down 5.40%), NMDC Ltd(down 2.09%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 1.93%), KIOCL(down 1.88%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 1.79%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 1.34%), Ashapura Minechem(down 0.79%), MOIL(down 0.26%) and Aro Granite Industries(down 0.12%) were among the top losers of the day.

    The NSE Nifty50 index ended 0.4 points down at 17624.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 22.71 points at 59655.06.

    ITC(up 1.99%), Tata Consultancy(up 1.81%), Britannia Industries(up 1.68%), Wipro(up 1.43%), Asian Paints(up 1.35%), Cipla(up 1.22%), HCL Technologies(up 1.1%), Divis Laboratories(up 0.89%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 0.73%) and HDFC(up 0.6%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

    On the other hand, HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 3.2%), Tech Mahindra(down 2.26%), Adani Enterprises(down 2.17%), SBI Life(down 1.98%), Maruti Suzuki(down 1.79%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.74%), Tata Steel(down 1.71%), UltraTech Cement(down 1.57%), Grasim Industries(down 1.51%) and Eicher Motors(down 1.42%) closed in the red.
