Australian MP Micheal Sukkar expresses excitement over PM Modi upcoming visit for Quad Summit

Member of Parliament of the Liberal Party of Australia Micheal Sukkar on April 21 expressed excitement over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Australia for the Quad Summit’. Leaders of four countries- India, the United States, Australia, and Japan, are scheduled to meet for the second-in-person summit of the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue or Quad in Tokyo on May 24. “Very exciting that your Prime Minister is planning on coming to Australia for the Quad Summit. We think it’s crucially important for the India-Pacific region. It is so important for the future and prosperity and peace in the world where four democracies are able to come together and build up the Quad to what it is today which is significantly more influential than many of this could have imagined.” “We don’t need to lose one friend to gain another. One party does not have to lose for the other to gain; this is where the Quad is very important. To ensure peace in the region, we think the more the variable is a grouping and share of like-minded countries. I will have to accept that large nations incl. India who have a large, who have influence. We think in a healthy way just like Indians do. We hope that Quad can help support them.”
