While many believed that popular telugu dubbed movies that perform well online would also do well in theatres, they have since learned their lesson in the wake of Waltair Veerayya and Veera simha Reddy's hindi version's box office failure. Even fewer people are aware that the hindi versions of these films have been released. Later, Nani's dasara appeared to be Tollywood's biggest hope for the hindi market, and the star zealously pushed it. However, the movie's opening weekend attendance was just 30%, demonstrating the value of content that appeals to local emotions.

Then came Samantha's Shaakuntalam, a mythological film with connections to the Hindu epics that was marketed as being an all-Indian film. Due to its subject matter, many believed that the movie may succeed in hindi, but that assumption was unfounded. tollywood as a result made several decisions that are currently required. According to reports, telugu will be the only language in which future films like Agent, Virupaksha, Custody, Bholaa Shankar, and kushi are initially released. After a week, depending on the outcome, they can choose for a hindi release.
