UP cops deploy drones in hunt for don Atiq Ahmed's wife

PRAYAGRAJ: Police and STF have launched a massive door-to-door search along the Ganga Kachar area on the borders of UP's Prayagraj and Kaushambi and have also employed drones to track down Shaista Parveen, the absconding wife of slain don-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed, following specific inputs on her movement along with two others, reports Kapil Dixit.
According to police, there were at least three occasions in the past 20 days when her whereabouts were tracked, but she managed to give the cops a slip.
A senior police official told TOI, "We have chalked out a fresh strategy to nab Shaista Parveen, who has been changing her hideouts frequently. She is avoiding the use of mobile phones and is allegedly supported by a group of women to evade cops."
