‘Spurious’ liquor worth ₹10 lakh seized in Ramgarh

Ramgarh: A team of the Ramgarh district police recovered a huge cache of “spurious” liquor worth Rs 10 lakh from a quarter of the Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) located in Saunda-D under the Bhurkunda outpost police station on Wednesday. Patratu SDPO Birendra Kumar Chaudhary said, “The police team raided the CCL quarter located along Azad Nagar Road following a tip-off. The quarter was illegally occupied by an unidentified man. A total of 185 cases of liquor worth about Rs 10 lakh were recovered from two rooms in the quarter. We suspect it to be spurious liquor. No arrest has been made so far and further probe is on.” TNN
