    ACC shares down 1.15% as Nifty drops

    NEW DELHI: Shares of ACC Ltd. traded 1.15 per cent down in Friday's trade at 12:56PM (IST). Around 4,861 shares changed hands on the counter.

    The scrip opened at Rs 1738.1 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 1742.2 and Rs 1717.0, respectively, in the session so far. Shares of the company of ACC Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 2784.95 and a 52-week low of Rs 1593.5.

    As per BSE, the total market cap of the ACC Ltd. stood at Rs 32261.85 crore at the time of writing this report.

    Key Financials
    The company reported consolidated net sales of Rs 4577.64 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2022, up 12.83 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 4057.08 crore and up 6.96 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 4279.64 crore.

    The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 113.16 crore, down 59.7 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.

    Shareholding pattern
    As of 31-Mar-2023, domestic institutional investors held 8.9 per cent stake in the company, while foreign institutional investors held 10.06 per cent and the promoters 50.05 per cent.


    Valuation ratio
    According to BSE data, the stock traded at a P/E multiple of 49.68 and a price-to-book ratio of 2.91. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
