Renewed drone barrage comes ahead of meeting between Ukraine’s Western backers

Ukraine said it had shot down a slew of drones overnight as the country’s Western backers prepared to meet to discuss military supplies and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization head made his first trip to Kyiv.

The latest drone barrage comes as Russia seeks to erode Ukraine’s air defenses ahead of a planned offensive by Kyiv expected in the coming weeks.
