Woman threatens to kill former husband

Rajkot: A woman was booked for allegedly threatening to kill her former husband for defaulting on the installments of a loan he had taken to purchase a house when they lived together.
The complaint was lodged by victim Jignesh Panara against his former wife Anjana Teraiya. The couple married in 2002 and got divorced in October 2021.
Panara told police that Anjana and trespassed into his air-conditioner repair shop by breaking the locks and ransacked it. The incident was recorded on the CCTV which he provided to the police.
Earlier, he alleged, Anjana had threatened to stab him to death if didn’t pay the EMIs. Panara and his wife had purchased a flat in the Nageshwar area around seven years ago and had joint ownership. He had borrowed Rs 22 lakh to purchase the house and was paying the EMIs. After the divorce, Anjana started living in the flat and Panara went to live separately as his financial condition was bad and he had developed mental issues due to the separation. He told Anjana that he would not able to pay installments, and expressed willingness to renounce his right to the property if she was ready to pay EMIs.
Anjana, however, allegedly threatened to kill him if he did not continue to pay.and 427.
