Sheetal Cool Products(down 15.50%), Tasty Bite Eatables(down 5.25%), Varun Beverages(down 4.05%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.54%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(down 1.45%), Vadilal Industries(down 1.41%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(down 1.40%), Zydus Wellness(down 1.38%), Gillette India(down 1.05%) and Parag Milk(down 0.89%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 5.7 points up at 17624.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 64.55 points at 59632.35.
Tata Motors(up 1.58%), NTPC(up 1.56%), Asian Paints(up 1.22%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.17%), Bajaj Auto(up 1.14%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 1.04%), Bharti Airtel(up 1.0%), State Bank of India(up 0.83%), Tech Mahindra(up 0.78%) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(up 0.65%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Divis Laboratories(down 4.17%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.54%), Eicher Motors(down 1.3%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 1.04%), JSW Steel(down 0.91%), Cipla(down 0.87%), Britannia Industries(down 0.87%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.78%), Hindalco Industries(down 0.74%) and Infosys(down 0.71%) closed in the red.
