Apple CEO Tim Cook, who has been making waves on the Internet with his town hopping, welcomed customers at the inauguration of the company’s iconic store launch at the national capital at Select Citywalk Mall on Thursday morning.
Dressed in a plain black t-shirt and blue denims , Cook smilingly welcomed all the customers who were stationed outside Apple’s Delhi store, waiting to catch a glimpse of the CEO. Cook also interacted with the customers and took pictures with fans.
After wrapping the Mumbai affair and opening Apple's first store in India at Mumbai's BKC (Bandra Kurla Complex) on Tuesday, Cook flew down to Delhi where he walked around the country's first art district, visited textile muesuem and also met the Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of State for Electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar.

The barricade for Apple's Saket store located in Delhi features a unique design that takes inspiration from the national capital's many gates. Compared to Apple's first store in India which is located in Mumbai's BKC, the Saket store is pretty small.
Around Town
Though the CEO of the world's biggest tech company is in India to throw open the doors to Apple's stores in the country, Cook is making the most of his trip. On Wednesday, Cook visited the Lodhi Art District and National Crafts Museum here as he went around town to drink in the beauty of Delhi.
The CEO was left mesmerised by India’s art district’s “remarkable” public space, while he found the National Crafts Museum & Hastkala Academy to be a perfect representation of India’s ancient and vibrant textiles. Cook took to the microblogging platform Twitter to rave about India’s “deep and deeply beautiful culture of craft.”
'Delhi's Lodhi Art District is a remarkable public space,' Cook shared in a tweet.
He also thanked one of the artists, Dattaraj Naik, for showing him how mural designs are made on iPad.
“Delhi’s Lodhi Art District is a remarkable public space. Congratulations to the St+art India Foundation and so many amazing artists for capturing Indian life so powerfully. And thank you to Dattaraj Naik for showing me how you design your murals on iPad,” Cook tweeted alongside pictures from his day out.
Intrigued by the National Crafts Museum & Hastkala Academy, he wrote: “I could've spent the whole day at the National Crafts Museum & Hastkala Academy. From ancient and vibrant textiles to impossibly intricate wood carvings, it displayed India’s deep—and deeply beautiful— culture of craft.”
Previously when Cook was in Mumbai, he binged on the city’s famous street food, vada pav, with none other than the ‘Dhak Dhak’ girl from Bollywood, Madhuri Dixit. He later also visited Mumbai's Indian School of Design & Innovation. In a tweet, he shared that the institute 'is helping the next generation of creatives unlock their full potential'.
The Apple CEO also met badminton champions Saina Nehwal, Srikanth Kidambi, Chirag Shetty, and Parupalli Kashyap and coach Pullela Gopichand in Mumbai where he discussed how Apple watch has helped them in their training modules.
