LUCKNOW:
Lavlesh Tiwari, Mohit Singh alias Shani and Arun Maurya, the three accused who allegedly killed gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed and brother Ashraf on April 15 had first tried to target them a day earlier when they were being taken to the CJM court for the hearing of police's remand plea. But they decided against it after seeing the heavy security around the two brothers, reports Pathikrit Chakraborty.
This surfaced during the interrogation of Shani on Wednesday. Once the police custody is over, the investigators are planning to seek the Narco analysis of the three accused to verify the veracity of their statements. As per the reliable sources privy to the probe in the case, Shani told his interrogators that he got the Turkish Zigana pistol from gangster Jitender Mann Gogi, who was killed in Delhi courtroom attack in December 2021. He had met Gogi in May 2021 and got the pistol from him.
