Castlebar will stage the Irish SpeedGolf Open in collaboration with two-time world champion Rob Hogan from August 12-13.

There will be Women’s, Men’s, Seniors and Junior events on both days in what promises to be an action-packed weekend sponsored by Hard Metal Machine Tools, Pat Brennan of Speedqueen Launderettes and Rob Hurley Electrical Services.

Hogan’s mother, Jean Hogan, is supporting The Ewan Hogan Prize in memory of her late husband.

Speedgolf combines the fast-paced action of running with the precision of golf. Competitors must race through the course, playing their shots as quickly as possible.

The objective is to complete the round in the lowest possible score and time combined.

The Irish Speedgolf Open is open to anyone who can complete a 5km run and break 100 in golf. To register or for more information, please visit www.speedgolf.ie.
