48-yr-old man found hacked to death at his residence

Kanpur: A 48-year-old accountant of an Intermediate college was hacked to death at his house in Atarra town of Banda district on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday.
According to the information, unidentified assailants killed Pradeep alias Ramu Chauriha (48), an accountant of the Inter college, by slitting his throat with a sharp-edged weapon at his house.
The incident came to light on Tuesday morning, when the police, on being informed by locals, reached the spot and recovered his body in one of the rooms of his house.
Naraini circle officer Ziauddin Ahmed rushed to the spot and initiated investigations. The police said Ramu Chauriha was posted as an accountant in the government-aided Inter college of Atarra after he was recruited in the dependent quota. “Body has been sent for postmortem and investigations are continuing to ascertain the motive behind the murder,” said CO further.
