Madhuri Madhusudan Kela picks up 1.04% stake in this smallcap stock

Investor Madhuri Madhusudan Kela picked up 500,000 equity shares or a 1.04% stake in Kopran, according to BSE data showing the holding pattern of the public shareholders. The value of her holding in this smallcap stands at Rs 7.5 crore.

The current shareholding is at the end of the quarter ended March 31, 2023. The stock was trading at Rs 149.80 on the BSE and was up by Rs 0.80 or 0.54% from the Tuesday closing price.

Shareholding of individual investors reflects in the ‘Shareholding Pattern’ of BSE listed companies on reaching 1% stake or above in the company.

Kopran is an integrated pharmaceutical company based out of Mumbai. The company is a manufacturer and supplier of formulations and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) worldwide. Kopran's manufacturing facilities and products have accreditations in all the continents, the company website
claims.

The market capitalisation of Kopran is 1,076.39 crore on the BSE. The 52-week high of this counter is at Rs 422, while the 52-week low (adjusted) is Rs 185.

Madhuri Madhusudan Kela publicly holds 4 stocks with a net worth of over Rs 56.4 crore as per March corporate shareholdings, Trendlyne said.

Other stocks held by Kela include Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Company Sangam (India) and IRIS Business Services. In Bombay Dyeing, she holds a 1.65% stake, worth over Rs 29 crore.

March BSE shareholding data is yet to be released for Sangam (India) and IRIS Business. In the former, she held a 1.11% stake at the end of the December quarter, worth Rs 12 crore, while in the latter, her holding was 5.55%, worth Rs 7.9 crore.
