Chinese Communist Police in New York

The U.S. can’t let the CCP get away with stifling free speech.

The U.S. can’t stop the Communist Party from stifling free speech in China, but it can protect against China extending its tyranny to America. That’s the importance of Monday’s little-noticed charges against Chinese in the U.S. and China for harassing and intimidating Chinese nationals living in the U.S.

The FBI arrested two men it says were running a Chinese police outpost in New York City designed to surveil and silence Chinese citizens. Federal prosecutors also charged dozens of Chinese Ministry of Public Security officers with harassing Chinese nationals in New York and using social-media platforms to intimidate Chinese democracy activists in the U.S.
